Starting screen for Requiem

 Requiem is a 3D, puzzle platformer that follows a 12 year old boy, Isaiah, as he navigates his way through purgatory. In order to escape purgatory, the player must successfully complete 7 different rooms that are themed after the 7 deadly sins.

The main requirements for this project are:

  • A 30-45 minute critical path

  • A minimum FPS of 60

  • Created in Unreal Engine 4

  • Controller capability

  • 3 accessibility features

  • All assets created by the team

I was a VFX artist and level designer on Requiem. My tasks included assisting in the writing of the GDD and ASG, implementing art assets into the levels, and lighting. My goals with art asset passes was to create a full and aesthetically pleasing environment that facilitated interesting gameplay while not interfering with the critical path. My goals with VFX were to create interesting visual effects that support the art and mechanics created for Requiem and ensuring that the proper FPS is maintained.
